Ask the seller the right questions

Check whether the price includes any packaging, whether the seller can help load and where the goods are held. A ground-floor garage collection is different from a heavy item upstairs.

Send an accurate goods description. Do not include account passwords, payment details or private marketplace messages in the enquiry.

Plan ebay freight collections at the Ellesmere address

For ebay freight collections involving Ellesmere, give the full SY12 address and the exact entrance. Use Ellesmere, Shropshire and the complete SY12 address; distinguish the town and property from the wider meres area and other places or organisations named Ellesmere. Identify the actual waterside, town-centre, residential or rural entrance and record narrow approaches, signed restrictions, gates, surfaces and a lawful vehicle position.

Check Shropshire Council's interactive roadworks map, current closures and any required temporary restriction process and all current street signs close to the booked date. A postcode does not establish permission, vehicle suitability or a safe handover point; agree private access with the property contact and arrange any required council permission separately.

  • For ebay freight collections, prepare: seller collection window; packed measurements; release contact.
  • Name the actual Ellesmere entrance and receiving contact, not merely a landmark, car park or town-centre reference.

Agree transport after the purchase checks

Freivio is a transport enquiry service, not an eBay partner or purchase-protection service. Check the item and seller independently.

Share both postcodes and any collection deadline. The seller’s available time and a confirmed transport booking must align.

Your Ellesmere enquiry checklist

  • For ebay freight collections, have these details ready: seller collection window; packed measurements; release contact.
  • Give both full postcodes and identify the exact entrance and receiving point. SY12 is a location reference, not the whole service area.
  • Explain any unresolved permission, timing or handling question before accepting a quote.
  • Check the quote’s supplier, price, inclusions and booking terms before confirming.

BEFORE YOUR ELLESMERE BOOKING

A worked planning example

This is an illustrative planning scenario, not a claim about a completed customer job.

A pallet delivery without a loading bay

If a pallet goes to a residential address or premises without a forklift, confirm packaged dimensions, total weight, unloading equipment, surface condition and the proposed unloading point. Do not assume a tail lift provides indoor placement.

What the quotation should settle

  • The complete collection and delivery addresses and permitted loading points.
  • The goods, handling help, equipment and access assumptions included in the price.
  • Agreed windows, named handover contacts and what to do if access changes.
  • Who records completion and which photographs or documents may be shared.

Check Shropshire Council's interactive roadworks map, current closures and any required temporary restriction process close to the booked movement and obey every current sign. Hazard lights do not make an unsafe or illegal position acceptable. Vehicle type, loading equipment and access must be confirmed rather than inferred from the postcode. This guidance does not grant permission, reserve a vehicle or promise access, timing, coverage or availability.

Keep the record together

After receiving a quote, use your customer account to review linked bookings, send instructions and view published progress or documents. A message does not change an agreed booking until the service team confirms it. Only request a quote once; the group team can coordinate the appropriate service.
